ACCESSIBILITY Services

Dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment for students with disabilities at Springfield College, Accessibility Services serves as an educational and advocacy resource for students, faculty, and staff.

To ensure the full participation of students with disabilities in all College programs and activities, Accessibility Services provides academic and non academic accommodations, and support services to students who provide appropriate documentation of a disability. The Accessibility case managers will meet with individual students to verify eligibility for services, to identify their needs, and to determine the appropriate support services and accommodations.

It is the student’s responsibility to self-identify and request accommodations and support services.

  • AIM For Students

AIM, or Accessibility Information Management, is the online portal for students to request and manage accommodations. Peer notetakers use AIM to manage class schedules and upload notes.

  • Types of Accommodations

Academic Accommodations are provided to ensure that students can access their classes and course work which can include things like testing accommodations, alternative formats for course material, in-class accommodations, and assignment specific accommodations. The New Student Application is used to apply for academic accommodations

Fieldwork Accommodations are separate from academic and non-academic accommodations, and are geared towards ensuring access to fieldwork experiences. Students already registered with Accessibility Services should put in an additional accommodation request for fieldwork in AIM, and students not registered should use the new student application.
