The Springfield College Office of Educator Preparation & Licensure is committed to developing culturally responsive educators who challenge, empower, and inspire all students to achieve their full potential. We strive to develop and support educators who have strong content knowledge, foster equitable and inclusive learning environments, and engage in reflective practices that enhance their teaching. We prepare educators who embody the Humanics Philosophy of educating the whole person—in spirit, mind, and body for leadership in service to others.

We offer undergraduate and graduate programs in education and teacher licensure, designed to prepare you for a successful and impactful career in teaching.

  • Accreditation

    All of the Springfield College educator preparation programs have undergone a rigorous review process and are fully approved/accredited by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. To ensure the highest quality of our graduates, we uphold exceptional standards for program quality, including rigorous admission criteria, standards for practicum placement, and comprehensive exit requirements. Our programs provide high-quality courses and field experiences, designed to foster real-world teaching skills, while our program supervisors and faculty are highly qualified educators and mentors, dedicated to supporting and guiding our students toward success in their teaching careers.
