Mission
The Springfield College Staff Council (“Council”), a representative body of non-faculty employees, works to increase staff employee involvement by providing a forum for dialogue concerning non-academic policies while also promoting communication, a supportive work environment, safety and wellness, and employee morale at the College.
2025-2026 Meeting Schedule
Staff Council meetings are open to all members of the campus community. We reserve the right to ask observers to step out of the room should we need to enter executive session.
We meet the second Thursday of the month in the Campus Union, Dodge with the exclusion of the May transition meeting. Staff are invited to observe in person or via Zoom (https://springfield.zoom.us/j/83380117793). Note: Zoom will not be monitored for chat/questions; observation only.

Council Function
● To communicate interests, concerns, requests, and/or suggestions of employees to the College’s senior administration in collaboration with the Department of Human Resources, through its designee.
● Assist in sharing information from the Council back to employees.
● To provide feedback on changes in policy or development and implementation of new programs.
● To enhance interdepartmental communications and promote a sense of community among staff employees, faculty, senior administration, and students.
● To plan and coordinate employee events, including speakers on specific topics, in collaboration with Human Resources.
● To discuss and recommend programs and procedures to Human Resources for career development and training, safety and wellness, and employee morale.
● To recommend representative participants for College-created committees, project teams, and task- forces as requested.

Pride Props Employee Recognition Program
Send a thank you to a fellow employee
Pride props is an employee recognition program designed to send thanks or kudos to a fellow employee who you feel deserves to be recognized for their commitment and dedication to the Springfield College community. Please consider nominating a co-worker.
A recognition note will be sent via email to the employee being recognized, along with their supervisor. Upon completion of each quarter, all employees recognized during that time frame will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card.
