: The Comfort K9 Program

Meet Remy:

Remy, a Silver Labrador, was born November 7, 2023. Before coming to Springfield College, he was raised at Dame Dogs Labradors in Rhode Island. Through the generosity of breeder Jocelyn Dame, owner of Dame Dogs Labradors, Remy was donated to Springfield College. Dame believes in comfort dog programs and has donated some of her dogs to other police departments.

Remy is a member of the Department of Public Safety. His handler is Chief Joseph Tiraboschi. Fun fact: Remy’s brother, Louie, is a comfort dog at the Natick (Mass.) Fire Department!
