Before you begin: Make sure you are using an active Springfield College account. Grammarly access is available to currently active students, faculty, and staff.

You can verify your Springfield College account at https://password.springfield.edu

Make sure you can sign in successfully using your Springfield College Username and Password before continuing with the Grammarly setup.

If you are already signed in to a personal Google account in your browser, pay close attention when Grammarly asks you to sign in. Be sure to select and use your Springfield College account, not your personal Google account.

Start here: https://www.grammarly.com/

Step 1: Open Grammarly

Go to Grammarly and select Sign up with Google. Do not use the standard Sign up button for this Springfield College setup.

Step 2: Enter your Springfield College account

On the Google sign-in screen, enter your Springfield College Username/Email and select Next.

Step 3: Authenticate with Springfield College

When the Springfield College sign-in page appears, enter your Username/Email and Password, then select Sign In.

For your security, never share your Password with another person or include it in a screenshot or support ticket.

Step 4: Allow the Google sign-in connection

Google will ask you to confirm that Grammarly can access basic account information used for sign-in. Review the screen and select Continue.

Step 5: Join the Springfield College Grammarly account

When the invitation appears, select Join your school. This connects your Grammarly account to the Springfield College Grammarly account.

If Grammarly says your Springfield College email is already being used for a personal Grammarly account and you want to keep that personal account separate, change the email address on the personal account first, then repeat this process.

Step 6: Choose your primary role

Select the option that best describes you: Student, Educator, or Other. Then select Continue.

Step 7: Select your graduation year if prompted

If Grammarly asks for an expected graduation year, select the appropriate year and choose Continue. If the question does not apply to you and Not applicable is available, select that option.

Step 8: Complete or skip personalization

Select the writing goals that apply to you and choose Continue. These questions personalize Grammarly and are not your Springfield College login information. You may also use Skip personalization if that option is available.

Step 9: Confirm successful setup

When you see Welcome to the team!, your account has successfully joined the Springfield College Grammarly account. You may select Download Grammarly to install the app, or continue using Grammarly in your browser.

Security Reminder

Never send your password by email, include it in a support ticket, share it in a screenshot, or provide it to another person.

Springfield College departments and staff will never ask you to provide your password, submit it through a form, or complete a document requesting your login credentials for verification purposes.
Please remain alert for suspicious emails, messages, links, or requests for account information. If you are ever unsure whether a message is legitimate, do not respond or provide any information.
